Take advantage of your most powerful
wealth-building decade

Building wealth isn't complicated.
We can show you why.

Blue Nova Wealth Lab was founded to give young professionals the confidence to start investing — and the discipline to stay the course — so they don't spend their healthiest years later still working.

Graduation Celebration Outdoors

The Starting Point

You got the degree.

You got the job.

Now what?

You did everything right. Okay, maybe not everything — but you got there.

You studied hard, graduated, landed a job, and started earning real money.

But earning money and building wealth are two completely different skills.

College prepared you for the first.

Now let us help you with the second.

The Wealth Formula

Wealth = Money + Knowledge +
           Discipline + Time

The good news? You already have two of them: Money and Time.

The two you're missing —

Knowledge and Discipline

are exactly what The Wealth Lab provides.

Money

You're earning income — that's the starting point, and the system works whether you're investing $50 or $500 a month.

That's the system. That's what we teach in The Wealth Lab.

Knowledge

Key wealth-building principles, market cycles, and more — taught clearly so you can invest with confidence.

Education builds Knowledge
Discipline

Hard-won lessons from real market history and data — so you build the habits to stay the course through inevitable volatility.

Knowledge builds Confidence
Confidence builds Discipline
Discipline builds Wealth
Time

The power of compounding makes time your greatest asset — so the sooner you start, the more it works for you.

The $750k Decade

Investment growth is not linear, it's exponential.

The longer you give it, the harder it works for you.

The Cost of Waiting

Ten years feels like nothing at 25 — until you see it's a $750,000 difference. And that's not $750k sitting in a spreadsheet. That's years of your freedom — the choice to stop working, or do something else more fulfilling, arriving later than it should.

Even worse? A big chunk of that $750k comes from the very first year — waiting just one more year to start could cost you over $100k you can't get back.

We can show you why.

The Investing Part? Already Solved.

You don't need to be a stock-picker, a market-timer, or a finance expert to build real wealth. Here's the short version...

Two goals, two accounts, one simple choice for each.

Your Retirement Account

401k, IRA, Roth IRA - for the years after traditional retirement age

Two clear, proven options:

S&P 500 Index Fund — this tracks the 500 largest U.S. companies, and it's long been one of the simplest, lowest-cost ways to build wealth over time. A Total Stock Market Index Fund is another solid option if you prefer — same idea, with added exposure to small and mid-sized companies too.

Target-Date Fund — automatically shifts from more stocks to more bonds as you approach your target retirement year, so you don't have to adjust your own allocation over time. Historically, target-date funds have delivered modestly lower long-term returns than a pure index fund. That's not a flaw — it's the trade-off working as intended. By holding some bonds, these funds typically smooth out the ride, cushioning you in bad years in exchange for somewhat less growth in good ones.

Your Freedom Account

A regular taxable brokerage account - accessible before retirement

Similar options, one better suited for this account:

S&P 500 Index Fund — this tracks the 500 largest U.S. companies, and it's long been one of the simplest, lowest-cost ways to build wealth over time. A Total Stock Market Index Fund is another solid option if you prefer — same idea, with added exposure to small and mid-sized companies too.

Balanced Fund — a fixed blend of stocks and bonds (commonly 60/40 or 70/30). Same trade-off as the Target-Date Fund: a smoother ride, in exchange for somewhat less growth. Unlike a target-date fund, however, its mix doesn't shift automatically over time so it is more tax-efficient for a brokerage account.

Here's the part that actually matters most:  The "best" fund on paper isn't the one that wins. Decades of research on investor behavior shows the same pattern again and again — investors who stay invested through the ups and downs consistently outperform investors who try to time the market, even when the market-timers pick "better" investments. The gap isn't about which fund, or which investor, is smarter. It's about who actually stays the course. Choose the option you can stick with — that's the real decision.

About

IMG_4178.png

I'm Chris Hogan, founder of Blue Nova Wealth Lab.

I started investing over 30 years ago, in my 20s — the same decade I now teach young professionals is their most powerful one for building wealth. I just didn't know that at the time. I chased returns I shouldn't have, and fought the urge to panic-sell during the financial crisis in 2008. I had a portfolio too concentrated at times and too diversified at others. I jumped in and out of the market, never really knowing if what I was doing was right. I had the time. I just didn't have the knowledge or training to use it well.

I've since spent the past two decades studying markets and learning from some of the best minds in personal finance, working to separate what actually matters from the noise around it. Slowly, the fundamentals became clear — not complicated theories or speculative bets, just a core set of principles along with the discipline to actually stick with them.

I've seen so many people either start investing too late, or struggle the way I did — both with the same consequence: working longer than they may need to during their healthiest years, and losing their freedom to choose to do something else they may find more fulfilling.

Blue Nova Wealth Lab was created to change that — to give young professionals the confidence to start investing, and the discipline to stick with it, while they still have their most valuable asset working in their favor — time.
